The many large 2 and 3 panels in our collection are the actual size of our film, some using 2,3, or even 4 panels of film to create an image. Inspired by the Japanese screen or Shojii, our first 3-panel palm was born of necessity, since my deficiency in cultivating indoor flora inspired me to create a folding screen that would be a more permanent solution for the presence of a palm. In 1996 we made our first 3-panel palm as a photogenic drawing. An antique photo process that involves painting heavy watercolor paper with photosensitive emulsion before exposing it to a negative image, it creates a pleasing deep brown color and fine detail. The resulting handcrafted prints blend antique photo process and contemporary styling. Archival print on 100% rag 300 gsm watercolor paper. Signed by Madeline and Robert Longstreet and numbered. Edition of 200.
