BAUHAUS BOLD The most influential art movement of the 20th century. Bauhaus was the German School founded in 1919 by architect by Walter Gropius that employed artist like Paul Klee, Joseph Albers and Kandinsky. The school of Bauhaus focus was on simplicity and teachers favored primary colors and bold shapes, all large influences on our work. Its aim was to unify all arts including painting, architecture and sculpture into a single craft allowing for a reimagined material world in which artisans created both beautiful and functional items. Bauhaus design continues to be an influence a century later.
